Time for some old school GM dig racing! Watch this 1967 427ci Chevy impala Line it up with a 1965 389ci Pontiac GTO…Both 4 speed cars. Who ya got? The results may surprise you!

“Two old school muscle cars go head to head in a gear banging 4 speed 1/4 mile battle. In one lane is a 1965 GTO, the car that started the muscle cars wars, and in the other lane is a heavy weight SS Impala factory equipped with a 427 Big Block. The GTO is powered by a 389 Cubic Inch (6.5 Liter) V8 which was rated at 335 Horsepower and 431 lb-ft of torque. The Impala is powered by Chevrolet’s 427 Cubic Inch Big Block rated at 335 Horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Both cars are competing in the Pure Stock Drags, so modifications are limited to porting, blue printing and minor weight reduction without altering the stock appearance. That means stock intake manifold, stock exhaust manifolds and street tires. Both cars are equipped with 4 speed manual transmissions, so it will take some skill to launch and get down the track. Both drivers do a very good job of rowing the gears… So WHO WINs?”
